Exam Day Information: May 20, 2006

The first 1,500 qualified applicants will be invited to take the Firefighter/EMT Entry-Level Exam on May 20, 2006. Qualified applicants will be notified in advance by mail by the DC Office of Personnel. The notification will include the test date, time, and location. The hiring register created by the May 20, 2006 exam will be active until at least May 2008. On exam day, qualified applicants:

  • Must present their exam notification for entry to the testing facility.
  • Must present a valid form of ID, such as a current driver's license or official DC or state photo ID.
  • Must be present and seated in the testing facility by the time testing is scheduled to begin. No late arrivals will be allowed to take the exam.
  • Must NOT bring cell phones, MP3 players, calculators, electronic spelling or grammar aides, or other electronic devices to the testing facility. These items are not permitted.
  • Must turn in all materials at the end of the testing period. No testing materials may be removed from the testing facility.
